Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra
The orchestra was established in May 1960 as Tokyo Kosei Brass Band. In December 1973, the name was changed to "TOKYO KOSEI WIND ORCHESTRA". The group's first European tour was undertaken in July 1989, when the orchestra visited seven countries including Austria, Switzerland, France, United Kingdom and Holland. Performances in these countries were received with such universal enthusiasm that live and recored performances were broadcast in all seven countries.
In 1993, their second overseas
tour of the Switzerland included eight very successful performances before
full concert houses. Critical acclaim of the orchestra has risen steadily
throughout the world. The orchestra is currently engaged in versatile
music activities such as family concerts, ensemble and special topic concerts,
stutio recordings, and its semi annual concert series.
